During a meeting of its District Development Committee (DDC), EFDC planners reviewed the earlier decision in October to recommend that our redevelopment plans are accepted.

Following a vote the DDC approved our plans and gave agreement that will enable the redevelopment of UCFC's facilities to become reality.

Things will now begin to move fast for the Club - the first crucial step is the decision needed at the EGM called for 4 February. The meeting will be asked for agreement to change the status of the Club so that we can take advantage of funds essential to the financing the project being made available from the RFU.

After that the next big date to watch out for will be toward the end of next month when it is expected that work will begin on Phase 1 of the project - the installation of a modern, floodlit all weather pitch which we hope to have available for use by the end of this season.

A little later in the year we will market a plot of land at the front of our property proceeds from which will provide the majority of the funding we need to rebuild the clubhouse and deliver the rest of the improvements we need.
