Les Thompson has fulfilled the role of Club Treasurer for some 6 years now and he will be soon be stepping down from the role.

Les has worked extremely hard to bring the club up to a standard of financial controls that give us an excellent springboard to continue his great work
We as a club owe Les our thanks for all his hard work and commitment to get us to where we are today
We are seeking a volunteer to be Club Treasurer to work in conjunction with our new Club Bookkeeper, Yvonne Waine.
Yvonne has 20 years’ experience with Sage accounting software and with support from Les and Nicole, our previous bookkeeper we will have all the financial controls in place to control the finances of our club on a monthly basis and annual basis
We are ideally looking for someone who is has a background in finance (not necessarily accounting) as Sage will produce excellent management information including monthly management accounts and balance sheets
The role will also necessitate liaising with HMRC, our banks plus a few key suppliers when required
The role will also involve working alongside the management team to help shape the future of the club
We are a CASC (Community Amateur Sports Club) which is similar to a charity and have an excellent relationship from our auditors Gane Jackson Scott LLP in Epping who provide excellent support to our club
Whilst run by volunteers in an amateur sports club environment we are run professionally and looking for someone to support our club going forward
If you have a financial background and feel you can give your time to support our club please contact
Paul Donnelly via email Paul.donnelly@exertis.co.uk or phone on 07768 876511
