Eppcroft tuned up at Campions with the bare minimum 15 players.

The first half Eppcroft had the slight wind advantage but were playing up the slope. It was an attritional battle with last ditch tackles saving the Eppcroft tryline from being crossed.

Just before half time Liam hurt his shoulder and Eppcroft went down to 14 players.
The second half started in much the same way, hard tackles and rucking by both sides. Chances came and went for both side before Ollie G burst though a couple of tackles and sprinted 30 metres unopposed to the tryline, diving acrobatically to score. Chris scored the extras.

Campion came back with a series of drives to final cross the whitewash and convert making the score 7-7.

A lovely kick over the top from Matt was picked up by Joe W who span out of a tackle and sprinted over the try line. 7-12.

Campion went back to pick and drives and crossed the line again, Eppcroft were convinced the ball was help up, the referee awarded the try, however very sportingly the Campion captain confirmed the ball had been held up, goal line drop out.

With 2 minutes to go Campion once again drove over Eppcroft’s line and converted 14-12.
Try as Eppcroft might they could not make inroads in the last 2 minutes and the final whistle went on an entertaining well-fought match.

Special mentions this week to Connor McD moving from hooker to prop. Harvey for a number of try-saving tackles when the last man left. Man of the match however goes to Felix who was playing No8 for countless tackles and runs.
