Sunday 14th January

U9’s

The Nuclear Nines were away at Cheshunt RFC.

Playing on cold and sunny morning the team scored some great team tries and continued to demonstrate good offloading, support play and improving tackling.

Player of the match go to Harry who had his best game with some outstanding tries.

Special mention to Rhys for two fantastic cover tackles in defence.

Keep up the good work. Go Nuclear Nines!

U14’s

Been a good few weeks since our U14 played a competitive game, so with a home game against Chelmsford in the waterfall cup was a good way to start the new year off, Epping started really well, there line speed and intensity putting Chelmsford under pressure, with some very good speed in attack and great running lines giving Epping the lead, G Spencer scoring 2 Tylor -1 wills -1 , Bailey -2, logan -1 crabby and Sid converting a few, Chelmsford scored a good individual try but not converted, a great way to start 2024 rucking, scrummaging, attacking play was all outstanding, everyone played there part and a super team performance
We have two MOM
Forwards MOM - Charlie James
Backs MOM - George Spencer

Training Wednesday 6-7
New players welcome

U16’s

Epping - WestCliff

First game back and we knew we were in for a challange. Within the first 29 minutes West Cliff were up by 26 points. Epping definitely showed signs that they had not played for nearly a month, although the Epping lads never dropped their spirits. In the last 5 minutes of the first half Epping played some of the moves that have been practiced and picked up. Their first try (Jake).
Second half
Epping found their feet and kept West Cliff at bay for some time, but West Cliff managed to score 2 more try’s with some great running from their backs. Again Epping didn’t drop their heads and got the next try (Ben). It was the West Cliff Discipline that got them over the line with their last try. All in all Epping played some great moves with some good tackling.

Game ended Epping 10 - West Cliff 43
