Epping took on Pegasus knowing they were a side they could beat having already done so at home on the first game of the 2014/2015 season. Form for the season has been consistently good with only three minor blips to blot the fixture landscape,
The Epping squad took on a different dynamic for this final league fixture, to accommodate various player commitments already agreed earlier in the season with coaches Dean Cutting and Keith Green.
Conditions were near perfect, firm underfoot. Half time 0-26.
Pegasus attempted to press after the restart but they were second best in the key areas and the away side had momentum and confidence. The Epping side added a further three try’s, before Pegasus appeared on the score board. The closing quarter of the game facilitated a brace of try’s, due mainly to the loss of concentration with such a commanding lead for the first 60 minutes of the match, a short sharp lesson that was we will need remain on target for the seasons target of promotion to the London Leagues .

As our readers will know we tend to not single out individual players, as we accept that we win and occasionally lose as a team, however a special mention must go to Liam Rogers who stepped up to the 1st XV with amazing commitment and should be commended for his contribution the squad and in particular the ferocious manner he attacked the game.
The final two weeks of the season will be an opportunity to fine tune a couple of developmental areas in preparation for the biggest game the club has faced for a considerable number of years.
